Yoga has transformed my life...
It was slow, but it has happened. I practiced casually because it was something I 'should' do to help prevent injury from marathon training. Then about 7 years ago, I became a teacher of yoga.
It wasn't until more recently when I experienced a major life transition that I found yoga to be my home. When I was lost I found peace and courage in the physical and spiritual practice of yoga. I continued my yoga journey with a yoga retreat in Costa Rica and 200 hour yoga teacher training with Community Soul Yoga in Wausau. This journey has brought a deeper awareness and appreciation of the physical, emotional and spiritual practice of yoga. I want to share this with all who come to the studio.
I am so grateful for all the wonderful people in my life, especially those who love me and those who trust me to guide them in their yoga practice.
A few of my playlist favorites today: Days Like This, Fly, Carry You Home, Perfect Storm
Courageous, Resilient, Powerful, Loving
Restorative yoga is a restful yoga practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During a restorative yoga class, you will utilize many props (blankets, bolsters, straps, wall, etc) to create a very relaxing expression of the pose. You will hold these passive poses for an extended period of time, therefore, you may do just a few postures over the course of the 45 minutes.
Restorative yoga is a completely different experience than most other styles of yoga.
