FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I to prepare for class?
Come ready to move, sweat and breathe.

Bring a towel and water.

Allow for digestion. Most people find it uncomfortable if they eat 2-3 hours before class. A light snack is usually ok, but it depends on your sensitivity.

Dress comfy. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Yoga couture not required!!!

Bring your mat. We recommend that regular students own their own mat, but we do not have space for mat storage in our studio. We also provide community mats.

Come clean and unscented. With all the deep breathing, your neighbors will appreciate if you skip the perfume and essential oils.

Come early. Aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins, and you'll have plenty of time to find parking, set up your space, use the bathroom and get settled. Arriving late is stressful way to start a yoga class.

Turn off your phone. Even phones on "silent' often still make a loud buzzing sound when they ring. Unless you absolutely must be available in case of emergency, please turn your phone off or leave it in your car.

Talk to the teacher. If you have any physical conditions that requires modification of postures, tell your teacher, e.g., unregulated high blood pressure, recent surgery, herniated discs, osteoporosis, epilepsy, pregnancy. If you prefer not to be adjusted by the teacher, let that be known as well.
